I’m your trusted local point person for an aging parent — coordinating caregivers, appointments, transportation, senior living, errands, outside services and the everyday details you can’t manage from a distance.
Whether you live across town or across the country, I can be the trusted local point person who helps keep appointments, caregivers, facilities, transportation, errands and everyday needs organized.
“You stay the son or daughter. I help carry the coordination.”
Personal support. Clear communication. No giant agency feel. You can use me for one specific need or as an ongoing local point person. I coordinate the moving pieces, keep you informed and help make sure important details don’t get missed.
Schedule and track appointments, arrange transportation, accompany clients when appropriate, follow up on prescriptions, communicate with nursing staff and pharmacies, and help keep important information moving between everyone involved.
Communicate with assisted-living or skilled-nursing staff and administration, follow up on unexpected charges or billing discrepancies, and help make sure concerns are addressed rather than lost in the shuffle.
Research assisted-living communities and other care options, arrange and attend tours, compare choices, organize questions, and help coordinate transitions as a loved one’s needs change.
Research and help coordinate caregivers, physical or occupational therapy, transportation providers, household help, and other professionals or services your loved one may need.
Handle errands, shopping, clothing and personal items, snacks and household needs, transportation beyond medical appointments, scheduling, paperwork follow-up, and the countless practical details that come up. I can also coordinate and facilitate the ordering of ongoing supplies—including incontinence products, personal-care items, toiletries and other necessities—and help make sure your loved one has what they need when they need it.
Visit your loved one, notice what may need attention, meet with staff when useful, keep family members informed, and provide the familiar human presence that matters on both good days and difficult ones.
Every situation is different. If your loved one needs something that isn’t listed here, ask me. My role is to solve problems, coordinate the details, and make life easier for both the client and the family.
Use the service when you need it, without complicated packages or a long-term commitment.
Time spent coordinating, researching, visiting, attending appointments, communicating and handling agreed-upon tasks is billed hourly.
Client-related purchases and outside services are paid directly by the family or provided in advance rather than being financed personally by me.
No complicated packages and no need to hand over control. You decide what you want help with; I handle those responsibilities and keep you informed.
We talk through your loved one's situation, what is taking the most time and what kind of local support would actually help.
I focus on the tasks where having a capable local person creates the most relief for you and your family.
You remain informed and in control while I handle agreed-upon coordination during normal business hours.
My background in elder care goes back many years. I’ve worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant in hospitals as well as assisted-living and skilled-nursing settings, and I’ve trained and worked as an EMT in both paid and volunteer roles.
Some of my most valuable experience has come from working one-on-one with the same private client since 2014. Over the years, I’ve handled many of the same responsibilities I now offer families through this service: coordinating appointments and transportation, communicating with nursing staff and pharmacies, following up on prescriptions, working with facility administration on billing concerns, arranging outside services, shopping for clothing and personal items, running errands, and helping manage the everyday details of life.
That long-term relationship has taught me things that can’t be learned from a checklist—how to stay on top of details, how to follow through when something doesn’t look right, how to communicate with the different people involved in someone’s care, and how important it is to know the person themselves. Sometimes what matters most is simply recognizing a difficult day, listening, or being the familiar person they know they can count on.
That’s the experience behind this service. I help families provide that same kind of consistent, attentive local presence for someone they love—even when they can’t be there themselves.
I intentionally keep my service area focused so I can spend less time driving and more time actually helping clients.
If an aging parent needs more local support—or you're trying to decide what comes next—reach out and tell me a little about the situation.
